Ferrington Vineyard

Ferrington Vineyard, which sits just north and over the bridge from Boonville, was planted by Dr. Ferrington in the early 1970s to Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and later Pinot noir.

In 1996, Kurt and Heather Schoeneman purchased the vineyard. When the Schoeneman family took over, they replanted virtually the entire property. One block of those original vines remains, of a vine-rooted Sauvignon Blanc vineyard. The remaining block is Breggo’s sole source of our intense cold-climate Sauvignon Blanc. Today, the Schoenemans grow Pinot noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Sauvignon blanc.

Breggo’s rendition of Ferrington Sauvignon Blanc, with its crisp minerality matched by floral and citrus characters, has caught the attention of many fans of the grape. Our two vintages of Ferrington Pinot Noir have proven incredibly approachable, with smooth, supple tannins, while packing dense fruit character.
